As a language teacher, introducing a new technology tool can enhance student engagement and improve learning outcomes. 

One effective tool for a language class is Flip (formerly Flipgrid), a video discussion platform that allows students to practice speaking skills in a comfortable and interactive way.

What are two standards that you would like to implement in your classroom?

The two standards which I would like to implement in my classroom are 

1.    Learner

2.     Citizen

As a teacher setting professional goals is very important. Here I can identify specific areas where I want to grow, such as integrating technology into teaching, improving digital literacy, or adopting innovative instructional strategies. These will help the students to engage in the learning process effectively.

Setting clear learning objectives is also important. This will help us to manage our time and reach our goals self-reflection is also important.

Engaging in Lifelong Learning is another great practice. We have to participate in professional learning networks (PLNs) to connect with other educators. This can be done by attending webinars, online courses, and workshops to stay updated on new educational technologies and teaching methods.

How to become a citizen?

We can follow these steps.

Practice Digital Citizenship

• Model and teach responsible online behavior, including internet safety, privacy protection, and respectful communication.
• Educate students on cyberbullying, misinformation, and ethical use of digital resources.

Engage in Ethical Technology Use

• Promote academic integrity by teaching proper citation and avoiding plagiarism.
• Use and encourage the use of open educational resources (OER) and licensed digital content.

Taking part in the Fulbright TEA 2025 is the best gift 🧧which I got.

 The whole universe is with me. 🌎

    My first impression of the Fulbright Program was great. According to me, it is one of inspiration and a great opportunity. As Imalka, I immediately felt that this prestigious initiative was more than just a scholarship—it was a gateway to global exchange and academic excellence. I was deeply moved by the stories of previous participants and the program’s commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding. This experience has excited a passion within me to bring innovative teaching methods and new perspectives back to my classroom in Sri Lanka, and I am honored to be a part of the Fulbright community. Always I want to try out a new method for slow learners. This is the platform for it, to share and update. I like my Fulbright TEA 2025 team members. I am happy about the program flow.
